Filming!

Our handyman told us early this morning that a film crew was setting up in our mews, and the confusion continued all day (no idea what time they finished – I abandoned work and went out to gape mid-afternoon and was riveted by the amount of equipment, the number of people involved and the time it took to film each tiny take). Just as well we didn’t need to go out in the car, it would have been impossible. Anyway, now I have a series of shots of the crew and gear and of someone who is apparently a big star, as well as a little boy who was also the centre of some scenes.

It turns out that the producer is the niece of a neighbour who died a couple of years ago. She was one of the oldest residents and the vila has now been named after her. The producer had her photo taken under the plaque - she hadn’t realized that the scenes were to be set in her aunt’s vila, practically in front of her house (and opposite ours).
