Soarists

The Pope-Baldwin Recreation Area has some very nice hiking and biking trails with many Historical buildings and ruins to visit. It is bordered on the east by Camp Richardson and on the west by the Taylor Creek Marsh.
The Parks will not be open until Mid May, so we parked the car outside the gates, walked along the road, then hiked to Taylor Creek Marsh in hopes of seeing some of the nesting Bald Eagles.
Alas, all we saw were duck, ducks, ducks as they flew and paddled around in the creek.

Finally we saw this pair of Turkey Vultures as they soared majestically in the sky.
