D'aicí enfòra

By chaiselongue

Shortest day ...

... and the lowest light levels of the year. This dried artichoke head and Cape gooseberry lantern remind me of summer - in our garden where we grow artichokes and in south-west France where this Cape gooseberry was given to me. From now on the days will get longer and another year begins.

It's a grainy picture, I know, but the best I could do today without flash, which wouldn't have worked. We've lost the freezing temperatures, but also the clear skies.
