C .... W ... & ... O ...

........... that's cold, wet and 'orrible.

I'm talking about the weather today and not the planned blipmeet ..... that was F .... S .... & ..... L ..... fun, smiles and laughter (oh, and cake!!!)

The plan was to go to Woburn Safari Park (approx. halfway between where we both live) but the rain rained, the mist misted and the cold just got colder .....
Did we want to have to look for giraffes through damp cold mist?
Did we want to try and spot lions hiding from the elements?
Did we want to get thoroughly cold and damp ourselves and spend £30 ($45) each for the privilege???
I don't think so .... so by a majority vote (of two) we went and had lunch, cake and four pots of tea!

On the way to Woburn Village we passed by these deer in a field so, for free, we took some photos ...... mine were all pretty rubbish aside from three passable (and I mean only passable) ones and this was the one that made me smile - so my choice for today!
I like all the hairs and whiskers too and you can actually see the misty droplets on a couple of them.

Had a great day despite the weather and made a new friend .... I purposely haven't said who it was as she hasn't posted in her journal yet ..... all will be revealed - or you can guess.

What a change from yesterday's weather ...... thank you for all the lovely comments and stars on my apple blossom.
