The Great Stupa

As our visits to Kathmandu are Buddhist pilgrimages, we always stay near the Great Stupa in Boudhanath. This is in the north east of Kathmandu, and conveniently the same side of the city as the airport. It would be unpleasant to have to travel right across Kathmandu through the chaos and pollution of the city roads every visit, though this is interesting to experience occasionally.
