Tulip fest

I found these unusual tulips around the village today. I loved the frilliness of them. It's been mostly sunny today, but the ground is still very damp and you can see the raindrops on the flowers. Just as I am typing this, there's a sudden downpour of rain - the first today! The cherry blossom has mostly gone now - my husband said the huge thunderstorm at 6 am yesterday had very torrential rain for quite a while and sluiced a lot of the blossom off. Our apple tree is coming into bloom though.

Feel a bit weary today, but I did cook a roast lunch, do two washloads, copy the news sheet and do some shopping. Waking up a bit now after a very short doze in the armchair!
