Diary of an Edinburgher

More puppy shopping!

Last night my puppy breeder rang for a long chat. He's so excited about the pups. We go to choose Millie on the 10th, then go and pick her up on the 17th. Oooooh! Getting closer.

A visitor for lunch, we had - guess what - Moroccan Lamb Tagine. And much nicer than anything we were served in Morocco. There were even some dried apricots, which abound in Morocco, but none of them abounded into any of our many tagines.

After lunch we popped out to do some shopping. My favourite kind of shopping - Pet shop shopping! Not only are there lots of amazing things for pets now, but the live animals are terrific to watch - a chinchilla and a fabulous long haired rabbit who nearly was my blip ... Until I met these chaps and their mum in the car park.

They had been doing a book signing in the shop. Rufus the dog on the left, has written a book. Reuben his brother and young Hugo are not so clever - they can’t write - but young Hugo has been to Crufts. Actually, Rufus, though he has a bit of white on him, made it to Crufts as well.

They are ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. And feisty little things they were too, growling and barking at any passing big dogs from the safety of their cage!

I might have saved £3 buying the Kindle version when I got home, but I wouldn’t have had a signed one. Yes. Reuben signed it. Cavalier Chronicles, if you’re interested.
