Jackie Robinson Day

Everybody is #42. It's Jackie Robinson Day. Even if you had a program (do those things still exist, or do people just look up player info on their smart phones and tablets -- like I do), you couldn't tell the players. The big joke was, "hey a new pitcher. I think ol' 42 may be coming out." et cetera et cetera et cetera. The only time a player wasn't called 42 was when the "little star" announced the first batter in the 3rd. "And now batting for the Padres, #13, Chris Denorfia." I leaned over and said, "I thought he was #42."
