they'd be quite useful at the moment.

all morning have been listening to my friends' stories about getting stuck. a brief selection:

- five hours to do a half hour journey
- seven hours to do 20 miles, ran out of petrol twice
- 3 hours to do one mile, ended up sleeping on the floor of a department store
- abandoned car and walked the 12 miles home along the hard shoulder
- set off from Manchester at 5pm yesterday, refused to believe how bad it was, got in at 6am this morning.
