EDL Demonstration in Brighton

Becuase of the demonstation we decided only to have a wander through the park and the North Laines today.

After we came out from our brunch the end of the Laine was being protected by this lot. As you can see one of them doesn't look too happy about having his photo taken.

Not sure what the demonstration has cost but there were groups of men putting up barriers all along the front yesterday, today we saw numerous vans full of police arriving from as far as Kent, one coach load of police, two helicopters scanning the ground and that wasn't even at the front. Not sure what was going on down there.

There were also lots of April showers today so our walk was interspersed with several 'coffee' stops as well as brunch.

The journey home this afternoon went smoothly, we arrived back around six, after a final cup of tea with Bev and Hedley we have unpacked and had a bath and sat down!
