Cycle of Life

Walking Ezra in the Park of Roses today I was quite surprised to still see some roses. Given most of them were either frozen or dead, I found one frozen rose bud and on the same rose bush there was this absolutely beautiful full bloom sunset colored rose that was just beginning to hang it's head for the season. Both photos, in my opinion, were really interesting and the flowers themselves were stunning to be just as lovely as they were this summer only now, it's winter. While staring at them on my laptop trying to decide which one I wanted to share they seemed to come together in my mind as a beautiful representation of the cycle of life... one bud struggling to become while the other who has lived a rich life is just beginning to fade. So, I superimposed them and of course it didn't turn out exactly as I had imagined in my mind, but close enough to share anyways.
