Chasing the enemy.
Magpies and Noisy Miners are the best of friends and this morning they took off in a collective flock after a large black crow, who they considered to be trespassing on their turf. Here they are at the tippy-top of a Norfolk Pine tree, surveying their territory.
There was apparently a solar eclipse this afternoon at 4:30 my time, so I set up the camera and took a few photos between 4:30 and 5:00, but didn't see anything other than the setting sun, so perhaps my part of Australia wasn't one of the best points for the visibility. So today you get my cheeky birds instead.
Dashing now. My dear friend Keith, from England, will be arriving at the airport in Coolangatta in an hours time. He is spending a few days with me, so I may be a tad scarce around blip. I'm sure I'll keep up with posting a photo each day though.
