Restoration.......

Today I made myself go out.
I had an appointment at the doctors and after that, I put on my wellies and went exploring.

I needed green, fresh air, sky and bird song,
I found a local park with some woodland
I found rose edged daisies
I smelled May blossom and was transported back to my childhood
I walked on lush wet grass
I stood and listened to the birds singing
I smelled the dampness of the russet coloured leaf mould
I saw the fresh, zingy green of the newly sprouted beech leaves
I watched the clouds piling up and the sun shimmering behind them
I felt restored

I shall explore more tomorrow.
