Christmas Eve Trees

A late night of endless wrapping, losing the end of the sellotape and writing the wrong names on gift tags, and an unfeasibly early start to meet friends for another gingerbread latte has left me feeling totally done in all day.

I was brought up with the idle threat that 'Santa won't come if you don't clear out your toy cupboard' and to this day, upteen years on, I have this ridiculous notion that the place has to be spotless before the arrival of the Bearded One. So, my toy cupboard is almost tidied and I do feel better, particularly since much of the tidying was actually spent watching Narnia under a blanket with chocolate by my side.

I also tried to waken myself up with a snowy trudge around the village. The park was deserted - where were all the snowman builders?

I am heading through to the wild west for a few days and will be well and truly off the bliposphere. So, blippers everywhere, have a great Christmas!
