Festive Frostiness
I've noticed that Edinburgh / Glasgow competitiveness also includes who's had more centimetres of snow. While I thought the east had been deluged with snow, it turned out some the west had too and I had grudgingly accepted it was a close run thing. I'd also forgotten that where I'm from is like Sleepy Hollow. As our village nestles in a valley it seems to have extra white stuff piled on. That, along with a late journey last night and a non gritted avenue, found me slip sliding away down the hill and a rather dodgy burl into the driveway. The neighbours' net curtains were twitching in unison at the alarming revving that clearly wasn't anything on a sleigh.
This morning was beautiful, crisp and freezing. As I knew the sprouts had to be on prompt at 1.22pm, I took the opportunity for a morning stroll, loads of blips, but opted for a sunny view of frosty farmland.
Hope you've all had a chilled day.
