HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A SPECIAL FRIEND!

Sometimes in life we meet someone and immediately "click" and this was the case with Angelique and Mr. A when we met for the first time in Bath back in February.

Angelique shared with me about their special son, Matthew, and mentioned that he liked aircraft books, so knowing that Mr. HCB and I were going down to visit them in Stogumber in April, I have been scouring the charity shops and found some very good pre-loved books, which I bought for Matthew.

TODAY is his birthday - well technically it was yesterday, 29th April, but as I haven't gone to bed yet, it's still today, if you get my drift. Matthew had a birthday party with his parents at the weekend and was given the books I had left for him and this morning, I had a lovely surprise when the postman popped this pretty butterfly card through my door, so beautifully written by Matthew, thanking me for the books. Now there's a lad who has been brought up properly!!

I have never met Matthew, but I hope to one day - and I know we will get on - not that l am as fond as him of aircraft, but I'm willing to listen to him and to look at his books and we might even go out for coffee and cakes, so the beginnings of a good friendship, don't you think?

I know that Matthew is a very special person (well I just need to look at his parents to know that) and you can see that his name is now in my Blessings Jar, which is filling up - but then I am so blessed and it's good to write things down, otherwise we tend to forget the people and things that have blessed us.

This blessing is especially for Matthew on his birthday and for his parents too:
