Torch Cactus Prologue

I have been waiting and waiting for this single bud to develop.  It has been agonizingly slow.

Hopefully, tomorrow, I will see the climax of what I have been anticipating since the first of the month; perhaps this cactus' singular flower.  I'm glad it's falling before we turn the page to another month...
