Doggie Developments!

Well, sitting outside on the outdoor furniture sipping G&Ts didn’t last long - back to cold and dreich today!

Uncle A came over for a sumptuous lunch - tomato soup and toast (his choice) and we had a catch up. He has some big decisions to make in the not too distant future, and I’m not sure I’m much help - I swither between acting now and getting it over with, or ignoring it all and just boxing on.

Popped out to Balerno to pick up a crate advertised on Gumtree (£10). Haven’t been to Balerno before, but it’s a nice drive, apart from the rush hour traffic.

The expected doggie deliveries (a play pen for one thing) didn’t come today.

Talking of dogs - there has been a development.

Quite a BIG development…

We have had our hearts set on a salt and pepper schnauzer, like Henry (and Mackintosh, and Murdoch and Rumi, to name but a few on blip) but it has become increasingly clear that the ones we’ve been in touch with are definitely going to be very DARK. This does not bother me unduly, as I just want a pup right now. But JR wants one to match her hair did not give up and did a bit of ringing to track down another one...

The breeder we met on Sunday told us about a female pup she knew of in Aberdeen, so JR rang and yes, it’s a salt and pepper female, looks like a Millie, and she’s available THIS weekend, being 9 weeks old. Sooo… we’ll let the breeder know tomorrow, but it looks like Millie is arriving earlier than anticipated!!!

Just as well we’ve bought just about everything.

PS The breeder is not the slightest bit put out if we change our minds - he's got a long waiting list ready to snap them up.
