This Be My First Bee

I would love to say this is in my back yard, but alas...it was taken at a local dept. store/garden center.

I went into the place to look at some camping equipment, and noticed all the colors of the flowers at the entrance. The Blip idea light bulb flashed in my brain. After shopping (I just bought some socks), I returned to my van to get my camera.

At first, I didn't see the bee. I reached into the blooms to grab the tag that identifies them. I don't know who got startled the most...me or the bee.

The bee, and his "back-off!" warning made me forget what the plant was named.

My hiking buddy and I walked another 3.5-4 miles this morning...complete with packs. I'm beginning to understand how a loaded-down burro feels.
