Plymouth Grove

This Grade 2 listed building was erected in 1873 and for over a century served its local community as a pub. Now the community has gone, the building remains in a poor state. For a while it was used as a cannabis farm.

As is reported here, there have been plans to turn it into a Chinese Restaurant but no progress seems to be underway. For now, it is just a local landmark, near to Manchester's massive complex of University and Hospital Buildings. It is another reminder of the ambition and attention to detail of the Victorians, so much of which is still visible in Cities like Manchester, if you look up.
