One Step at a Time

Snettisham Beach

Now then. A few months ago I read this book which, as the title suggests, is one man's account of a journey around the entire coast of mainland Britain. In a camper van. Anyone who has spent their lives holidaying in the UK will relate to parts of this book as he extols the virtues of our many glorious beaches and resorts.

On Snettisham, he has this to say '... then continued to Snettisham where I sat in the van for a while, a few hundred yards from the beach, but couldn't be bothered to get out in the rain.'

We persevered. But only in a 'we've driven here so we're bloody well taking a photo' way.

I could have warmed this up a bit. But that wouldn't convey the desolation of the place.
