The Blackcountry Man

St Mary's Isle, Douglas.....

St Mary's Isle (also known as Conister Rock or, colloquially, the Tower of Refuge) is a partially submerged reef within Douglas Bay on the Isle of Man.
We are saying goodbye to this lovely Island after our 5 day getaway break, we boarded the Fastcat to the mainland and in two hours we drove out of the boat and on the road home. We were the last people on the coach and the driver was passing our house and dropped us almost at the door, which we were quite pleased about.

I have been to the house to check on the windows and doors that were fitted while we were away, they have done a cracking job and tomorrow we will have the Electrician in to give the house an inspection and if everything is OK I will get a Certificate.

Then I have to get the caravan ready to get off on Saturday when we head for Snowdonia for the Holiday weekend, I do hope there is not a lot a traffic.
