On the first of May our swifts usually arrive. I look forward to their arrival enormously.
They may have done, but I didn't see any. Another very long day at work today. It's great to be busy and it makes me feel useful, but sometimes a wee quiet interlude is such a blessing.

Having only had a 15 minute lunch break I did mange to sneak off for 30 minutes before my evening consultations. Just long enough to enjoy a few moments of pure peace as I captured some pictures of rain on these leaves.
