In the garden
Much of our garden is as we found it when we bought the house 39 years ago. The bluebells have always been there, only every year sees more of them, and this is the time they're at their best. Once the flowers die, it's a big job to pull out all the stems with the seed heads, and the border never really looks as good again until next spring. This border faces north, with a stone wall behind it, and other things find it hard to grow in the shade and the tangle of roots from the shrubs (also elderly) - and besides, my gardening has always been of the slash and burn variety of survival gardening.
Not native bluebells, I think - and some of them are pink. And white.
