Team player

Charlie loves his football. I see a completely different little boy when he's on the pitch. More quietly self-assured and confident; less needing to fight to validate his space. He's a funny little sausage.

Busy, busy day. A good day. Juggling work, helping out at school, baking cake and the usual trying to find matching pairs of socks. And making fishcakes. One day I shall remember that fishcakes are not 'simply' a quick mash up of a few potatoes and a couple of salmon fillets. One day I shall remember that they involve 2 chopping boards, a food processor, 4 bowls, 3 pans, a mountain of washing up, a very messy kitchen and clarty hands.

They are nice though.
