wander, stumble, wonder

Nostalgia

Everytime I walk past the Cat and Fiddle clock on the hour I have to stop to watch the little cow jump around the moon, the cat play the cello and the dish run away with the spoon. It's a habit a lot of Hobart kids pick up from an early age - you just don't walk away from this clock.

I spent the evening darning socks and watching the excellent double bill of Tomorrow Never Dies and African Queen with friends. Perhaps an unconventional combination, but we all agreed that James Bond wouldn't have a clue about making a new propellor blade from iron scraps and fire, and Charlie is therefore infinitely more resourceful. A nice way to wind down after a busy week.
