Time to go home

Here is a shot of Ian, my brother, Phil, my dad, and John, my nephew, who have been with us for Christmas but it is now time for them to go home. It was lovely having them over for the day yesterday and it is a shame that they have to go so soon, but I wanted to get a shot of them all before they left.

They came back shortly afterwards because dad had forgotten his slippers, and then I noticed that he had also forgotten his tablets but by that time they were on the motorway so they will have to be posted.

Off to see Reading play this afternoon - a family trip that I thought I ought to go along to. Last time I went on Boxing Day it was rainy and cold, and I didn't see why we couldn't leave a bit before the end to miss the rush! Luckily, it looks a bit sunnier today, but I shall still wear plenty of layers - and maybe take a good book!
