Thanks for letting me visit Mr. Nuthatch.

Last week I spotted a nuthatch visiting this hole but did not get any decent shots so today was stake out time in the rain. I parked right under the tree, wound down the window, put the passenger seat back and waited. He came back several times to his nesting hole, ignoring me, and the camera, completely. A white car seems to make a great hide in the rain. Here are some more poses on Flickr.

Large if you like. He is so tiny, especially compared to yesterday's nesting grey herons. Is this a theme developing?
