Hawthorn Blossom

Unique & Lovely is going to fall out of her chair on reading that this image has been cropped and this is the first time I have ever done this to any image I've ever put on here! There was too much blank boring background, so using Paint.net, I managed to do it! I usually use that for scanning record centres and putting them on 45Cat - but that's another story!

After the stresses of the middle part of the week, today felt like the last day of term, but it wasn't. With one of our teachers celebrating a milestone birthday and another leaving but returning in September, it was a rather different day.

After work I went to a very squelchy Itchingfield where this view of the May Blossom was taken in the field Blipped earlier this week. There are a lot of wild flowers out and everything is lush but nastily soggy due to the recent rain - the perils of being on Weald Clay! It was hard going, but I managed a short circular walk before it threatened rain and it did once I got in the car!
