Roundabout No. 4 (with a twist)

This is a roundabout on the way into Jeddah from Obhur, on a rather busy and fast piece of road. I kid you not, what you see in the bottom right hand corner, is a a family enjoying a picnic! It's amazing - people stop their cars on the side of the road, and sit on pavements, central reservations areas, and in car parks. Huge rugs, sometimes wind-breakers and all the picnic paraphenalia to have a day out with the family. If you drive down the Corniche on a Friday (Sunday equivalent) at prayer time, you'll see clusters of peeople in varying numbers on their prayer mats, facing East. Fascinating to see.
