Hanging on in there
The snow's hanging about here, which I discovered to my nerviness driving to Braehead this morning. It was horizontal for most of the journey.
I had a valid prescriptive-type reason for going but was astounded by the people at the sales. Where does everyone get their money from? People were staggering under the weight of Sale bags full of tat and stuff they don't really need (who are you calling pass-remarkable?). At one point I was holding a big spotty Country Living jug filled with a spatula, pastry brush, and wooden spoon. I was feet away from the counter when I realised madness had taken hold of me. What would I want with a pastry brush?! And indeed a red spotty jug?! Hmmm.
Anyway, the day went a wee bit downhill from there really. But this icicle has the right idea. As did I when the first wine of the day was poured at 9pm. Better late than never.
