Hill Top Ramblings

A grand day out

A lovely visit to Gait Barrows NNR to do the weekly butterfly count.

The nature reserve is looking at it's very best with glades full of primroses and bluebells, and the spring butterflies taking full advantage.

We were lucky enough to see the rare Duke of Burgundy, and this hungry Orange Tip busily feeding on bluebells.

If you live near enough to pay a visit, do try and find the time, it's one of the best nature reserves in the country.
