Derby Day

I remember walking out of school with my mom when I was 6 and her telling the other teachers to ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up. When I told them I wanted to be a jockey, they laughed and laughed. When I asked why that was funny, Mrs. Close said, "oh, honey, you're gonna grow." I did, of course. And in the 43 years since, a woman jockey has yet to win the Kentucky Derby. I hope today's the day. GO ROSIE!!!
