So cold getting up this morning. Walked over to their house. Walked through the long grass which mother was a little scared about!
Hamish took us around his farm. He has 40,000 acres. Saw Roos, Emus, wild boar and then obviously the cattle and sheep! Emus are so bloody stupid. We were driving behind some of them and instead of them running to the side to get out the way they just nod around infront of the car! They then went to the side and ran straight into the barbed wired fence! They have a brain a size of a pea. Drove in a big cotton picker. Crazy how big the machines are. The Aussie man who was driving it was a true Aussie man!! The cotton is so white when you take it out of the bud. Mother seemed to love the plant, haha. Had a cup of coffee before heading off again. Stopped off at their old house. The Australians seem to love sausage dogs as they had one at that house. It piddled everywhere when I stroked it! So many flies everywhere. Masses just sit on your face, it's horrible. Got back late afternoon after picking up Finn and Campbell from school. Father and I took a quad bike and motorbike out around the farm which was a lot of fun. Daddy showed me how to use the motorbike so rode that around the farm. Rode along lots of kangaroos hoping at the side of me. We watched the sunset which was incredible. On the way back I came of the bike in a rut. Partly having masses of flies in my eyes as well! Bit tricky starting the bike where we were so we had to push start it. Put it in 5th gear and revved it up which finally worked! Told Hamish that the handles were didn't feel right and he said it was absolutely fine. Pizza for supper. Campbell and Finn had a friend over called Jack who is such an Aussie boy! So funny. Had the strongest accent I have heard. The boys has made mother and I a bracelet which was so sweet. Said goodbye to everyone and made my way over to the cabin with daddy's rubbish flash light on his phone. Saw a snake on the road on the way. Stomped my foot to make it slither to the side and luckily it did! Think it was a brown snake as it was brown, haha. But I can't be sure! Stars were very good again. So cold again before heading go bed.
