Dreich and double-dreich

Lovely Bank Holiday weather! Not. It was overcast coming out from Portpatrick but we made a steady 6 knots across the Irish Sea. The closer we got to home the driecher it got - dark skies, rain and stronger winds. I was glad to get home.

You can just about see the pulpit of the boat through the rain-streaked windshield. Gray and more gray! I thought monochrome would give the right impression.

We saw HMS Pembroke leaving Belfast Lough. She had been visiting Bangor and at least the weather yesterday was more pleasant.

PS we sailed the whole way there and back again - no motoring! The Ards Man was very pleased.
