Little Moreton Hall

Little Moreton Hall is over 500 years old, and for 450 years this iconic half-timbered moated house was owned by the Moreton family until it was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1938.
The house is set around three sides of a cobbled courtyard and ringed around by a small moat. The half-timbering is quite fanciful and delightfully ornate.
It's just outside Congleton in Cheshire, and is a delight to visit.
