We don't often get seriously big construction plant in our wee village. The VIP will be sad that he missed it.

The morning shot by with yoga, completing my tax return (Yes!) and making soup and muffins for two pals coming for lunch. Had to have a wee lie down before going out to tackle the garden. It's mostly unrewarding destructive work at the moment - tree chopping, gross weed clearance and tidying. Still feels far too cold to do much planting. Even the greenhouse it has been struggling to get above 5 degrees at night. Germination is slow. But the rhododendrons are having a brief moment of glory and the crab apple blossom has just come out.
