James Grieve Blossom

Have just discovered this is a classic Scottish cooking apple:-) We have always thought it was a dessert apple, as they are really delicious when fresh and young, but don't keep well and bruise easily. Must remember to cook and freeze them this year, as it always gives a huge crop.

Another grey day, with some rain, so spent it pottering around the house and garden doing nothing very much. Hope your Bank Holiday Monday was more productive:-)
