Blue Flower

Every year I take a picture of this flower. I think it is probably my favourite as the blue colour is so vibrant, and the petal structure so intricate. We only ever get a few growing in the garden, but they are worth waiting for. The texture, structure and colour combine to make it so interesting. It is plant/cellular material that is organised to the nth degree. Evolution is quite fascinating in a Darwinian sense - producing this wonderful Cornflower.
