El Cedro Parque
The area we walked today was declared a World Heritage area in 1986. It is a sub tropical rain forest and as it's all under cover of the tree canopy, it was rather chilly this afternoon. After 3 hours, we were glad to return to the warmth of the sunshine nearer the coast. The wild flowers are geraniums and erysimums. There were lots of birds around mainly blackbirds but we did see a family of chickens with the cock proudly leading it's hens and some very young chicks. We assumed they must have been wild as they were far from civilisation.
