Still here...
...This little ladybird*, afflicted by a parasitic wasp (as previously blipped) is still alive and hanging in.
She is, sad to say, my v hasty and 'emergency' blip.
Captured by flash on our return home after a long day.
(At least seven hours of driving has taken place, to ensure that my dear Dad made it to a funeral many miles from his home.
I'm pleased we went).
I am sorely behind on comments, owing to the above...
Oo - it's hard not to comment when blippers are so lovely.
I shall catch up over the next few days.
*I'm trying not to be boring (or too depressing) about the ladybird, but only 25% of ladybirds survive this experience apparently. The new wasp larva should emerge from the cocoon (I think, from memory) 6-9 days after pupating.
I didn't have time this morning (at the crack of dawn) to check her, so was pleased to see she was still there and moving a little on our late return.
Nature eh?
On a positive note, I met a gorgeous black labrador today. (Lola, you're lovely).
Didn't take the camera... Funeral...You can't really.
But dogs. What's not to love?
(Ok. I'll give you 'one dog hair in almost every meal'. But apart from that?)
:-)
