DIY

Three little letters which bring me out in a cold sweat. I must have been off the day we did DIY at school and while I can conceptualise how many household things work I simply cannot take them apart, fix them and then reassemble them. Taps are one of the very few exceptions but even then I have to walk through the processes a few times to remind myself that the correct way of doing it is to turn off the water at the mains before stripping down the tap and always putting the tap back together again before freeing the wild beast which is mains pressure water.

So here is the proof that I can change a washer on a tap
