Aphid

Got out the 100mm macro lens today and extension tubes (totalling 68mm) with the intention of taking a close up shot of the fluffy bits of a white dandelion. When I zoomed into the dandelion I spotted these aphids on the flower. Normally, to the naked eye, they look like a green dot on the plants, however magnified, they take on a whole new appearance.

Even looking at the photos made my skin crawl - can't say that i'm a fan of very small insects!
