The Pacific Ocean

So I left early this morning for my course in California. Though I will spend most of the time delving deeper into the science and art of coffee roasting, I had some time today to indulge in one of my favorite places in the US. This is Stinson Beach, north of San Francisco. I drove down Highway 1 (from where this shot is taken) and enjoyed a stroll in the sun on this beach, watched the gulls soar and dive and listened to the soothing breaking of the waves - a really fine way to spend a coupe of hours!
