Sizergh Castle

Another damp day in Cumbria. We went to Sizergh Castle this morning , another National Trust property, for a walk around their spectacular grounds. The rockery garden (blip) was particularly stunning.

Next Ambleside for coffee and cake - yummy!

This afternoon awash very damp so we went for a lovely drive over Honister Pass to Buttermere and back over Whinlatter. Quick stop on the way to the Bowder Stone - still as impressive as when we last saw it 35 years ago!
