Shingo Conference

Gym this morning and then off to work for the first of a two day Shingo conference. We have been working towards entering for the Bronze Shingo medallion for a couple of years. To help out we have been asked to host an event where people learn about what the Shingo model is and how to apply the principals to a factory. As a result they are here for two days to learn and have a look around.
The Shingo model is a set of principals and ideas to allow people to judge how well a company has been implementing lean manufacturing within their organisation. At present there is only one other company in Scotland that has received a medallion of any sort and there are no medical device manufactures as yet. We are hoping to be the first.
Has the pet photographer I have been asked to take some photos of the event for our and the organisers use in promoting the event. Not something I like doing. Here is one of the delegates in full swing on one of the many flip charts.
