Buda Castle Maiden

Today we ventured up to the famous Buda Castle. The area boasts beautiful views of the city as well as other buildings such as the Matthias Church (an interesting coloured and tiled building featured in the background of the picture), and Fisherman's Bastion (with the best views overlooking the city). We found a lovely restaurant called Cafe Pierrot for some of the best food we've had all holiday- Michelin star dining at affordable prices! There is also an abundance of other cafes and restaurants, souvenir shops, a craft market and some nice antique/arty shops. The castle itself is pretty impressive and hosts the National Gallery, but I have found that the view of the castle is nicer from a distance when all lit up in the evenings. Still an impressive building nonetheless!
