Good morning Knysna!
This is what I woke up to this morning. The view from our bed at the beautiful, quirky Turbine Hotel, Thesen Island. I have died and gone to heaven, the photo not doing that stunning view justice.
Reluctant to leave the view we went for a gourmet breakfast and headed back on ourselves a little, along the coast to Plettenburg Bay. Stopping at Africa craft fayres and a deli to sample some biltong!
After getting our feet sandy, a few more souvenirs from the very plush interior shops of Plettenburg Bay (thank you lovely exchange rate) we headed to Tsitsikamma National Park for a beer and another beach stop.
The alternative blip photo for today is two baboons at the side of the road with one, clearly the male, on his back with his legs spread and the female between his leg picking ticks from his nether regions. Hilarious, but a little scary winding down your window for the pic, they were huge, god help us on safari.
With last nights dinner being so good we had another dinner of seafood before a late siesta and a romantic bath with yet more bubbles of the alcoholic variety. Then wine in the hotel and beer in the pub over the road. To explain how cheap SA is at the moment: two large glasses of wine in a five star hotel bar - £4.20! Bargain!
