Day 15 - Bryce Canyon

We tore ourselves away from camp and the Zion Valley to head north - had a drive by tourist stop at Bryce just so I could see the formations with my own eyes. They are pretty darned magical. But if I had to choose - Z I O N !!!!!!!!

These forms are from dripping water as opposed to river carving - and of course that is about as simplistic as you can get. We moved quickly so as to catch a doctor in a tiny town called Paguitch - the emergency of little hospital was empty, staff so attentive and great - what took maybe an hour or so would have taken at least ten in the city. Have the right antibiotic now.

So in Salt Lake City in a room with all the luxuries to include internet access! Fun to look even quickly at your images on this screen. Onwards via East Idaho and Montana to cross Washington State on the north end. This will make a big loop of five big western US states - Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, and Washington. And 3000 plus miles by the time we get home. Could have crossed the country!
