A cycle race passed through the village twice today. 2000 cyclists (so the road signs said) set off from Grasmere in the early morning drizzle. I tried some photos in the afternoon when they had only 4 miles pedalling to the finish. The weather hadn't improved and my first attempts at panning weren't very successful.

Fortunately there were some canoeists on the river close by.
